Naver said on the 4th that it has added a "gift agent" to the "artificial intelligence (AI) shopping agent" in the Naver Plus Store (N-Plus) application (app).
The gift agent helps users discover the best gifts by having natural, everyday conversations with the AI shopping agent.
First, users can see a "gift agent" suggestion on the N-Plus home. For example, it offers gift themes along with the suggestion, "There are 3 days left until Parents' Day. Shall we prepare a gift with the shopping agent?" such as "a spoonful of dad's dignity," "adding mom's elegance," and "housework liberation project."
Users can also find the optimal products by having everyday conversations with the gift agent. For example, ahead of Children's Day, if a user asks, "Recommend a gift that can boost my child's concentration," it shows theme-based gift ideas such as "time to find the joy of immersion (blocks, puzzles)" and "the moment the power of thinking grows (board games)." For a question that mentions general preferences, like "gift recommendations for a dad who likes coffee," it presents not only spot-on items such as beans and drip bags, but also a variety of more segmented gift ideas under the "home café hobby theme," including home café machines and electric grinders. It also explains why it recommended those gifts by analyzing the diverse shopping information and review data Naver holds.
