Tving adopted Akamai security solutions to counter large-scale DDoS and account takeover attacks, raising service stability and security levels at the same time.

Akamai Technologies, a cybersecurity and cloud corporations, held its Security Day Seoul event on the 30th at the Westin Seoul Josun, under the theme "AI security: A security strategy spanning the AI supply chain."

OTT platform Tving took part as a speaker at the event and, under the theme "As attacks evolve, defenses evolve," shared the process of adopting Akamai solutions and its security outcomes. Earlier, as the platform grew and credential stuffing and sophisticated DDoS attacks increased, Tving adopted Akamai's intelligent security solutions to respond.

As a result, even during attacks accompanied by massive traffic, it minimized performance degradation and maintained stable operations. The company said this secured service availability and improved limits in infrastructure visibility, strengthening business continuity.

Before adoption, Tving optimized its security policies through about two months of rigorous proof of concept (PoC), and it is now applying the same level of robust security to users in every country where services are provided.

It also cited as a reason for adoption the ability to secure real-time evidence when security events occur through AI-based rule sets and multidimensional analytics.

Lee Kyung-joon, head of Akamai Korea, said, "More than 4,400 edge-based platforms worldwide block threats from their points of origin to guarantee both defense and performance," and added, "We will continue to support Tving's safe growth in the global market with top-tier infrastructure and intelligent security capabilities."
