LG Electronics said on the 3rd that it won a total of 27 awards at the Red Dot Design Award 2026, including the top honor, Best of the Best.
The Red Dot Design Award is an international design award started in 1955 by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Germany and is regarded as one of the world's top three design awards along with the iF Design Award and IDEA.
LG Electronics also won a total of 26 awards at the iF Design Award 2026.
The top honor went to the LG OLED evo W6, a wireless wallpaper TV. The product is characterized by a thickness in the 9 mm range—about the size of a pencil—and by integrating the display, power unit, and speakers.
In home appliances and IT, winners included the LG French-door refrigerator, which minimizes the gap between the refrigerator and the wall; the LG Whisen Objet Collection Cool home air conditioner; and the LG Sound Suite home audio system.
In robots and HVAC, the lineup included the LG Cloyd home robot that helps with housework and the LG Therma V indoor unit, an air-to-water heat pump (AWHP). The Chicago showroom of SKS, an ultra-premium built-in appliance brand, also made the winners list.
Jung Uk-jun, executive vice president and head of the LG Electronics Design Management Center, said, "We will continue to develop customer-centric designs that blend naturally into living spaces and enhance ease of use."
