Samsung Electro-Mechanics said it is supplying multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) for aerospace to customers.
At a conference call for first-quarter 2026 earnings held on the 30th, Samsung Electro-Mechanics said, "The MLCC market related to aerospace can be divided into two categories: ground terminals and low Earth orbit satellites," adding, "For ground terminals, products similar to MLCCs for AI servers—small, high-temperature, and high-capacity—are used, and our company is participating as a major supplier."
The company also said, "We are transacting with leading customers worldwide by leveraging our high-reliability, high-spec automotive products," and noted, "Low Earth orbit satellites use more than 100,000 MLCCs—more than electric vehicles—and require high reliability." It added, "We will secure an early lead in the growing aerospace-related MLCC market and strengthen our mid- to long-term growth foundation."
