LG Electronics said on the 30th that, to mark Family Month, it will hold several events so members can spend meaningful time with their families and local communities.
Throughout May, LG Electronics will hold events that allow members to create special memories with their families. About 13,000 employees working at domestic business sites and their families will take part. On the 2nd, it will rent Robot Land in Changwon, South Gyeongsang, and invite about 7,000 employees working at LG Smart Park and their families.
At the LG Twin Towers in Yeouido, Seoul, a family invitation event will be held on the 9th. About 400 family members of employees will be invited to tour the workplace and take part in activities including watching a magic show, taking "Life Four Cuts" family photos, assembling a family photo puzzle, and decorating a "our family" wish board.
At LG Digital Park in Pyeongtaek, families will be invited to an event to watch a live broadcast of an LG Twins game. At LG Science Park in Magok, a large-scale family invitation event is also planned for the 16th. Various events such as family invitation programs and workplace tours will also be held at business sites including the Seocho R&D Campus and the LG Seoul Station Building.
The Life's Good volunteer group, made up of LG Electronics employees, recently held a Children's Day event at Amsa Rehabilitation Center, a facility for children and adolescents with severe disabilities in Gangdong District, Seoul. College students from ESG Academy, LG Electronics' extracurricular program for university students, also joined. Volunteers and children and adolescents with disabilities took part in activities such as balloon snack eating, fish catching, treasure hunts, basketball, and air bounce.
The event used donations voluntarily collected by LG Electronics employees through a donation menu. Operated once every two months at in-house cafeterias at domestic business sites, the donation menu offers a simplified side-dish selection and accrues 500 won per person each time it is chosen.
LG Electronics has maintained ties with Amsa Rehabilitation Center under the Korea Social Welfare Society for 13 years since 2014. It continues support in various ways, including volunteer activities that connect employees with the local community, appliance donations and education, and sponsorship funds.
