LG Electronics said at a first-quarter 2026 earnings conference call on the 29th that, regarding the data center cooling business, "it is difficult to disclose, for security reasons, the size of individual customer orders, contract terms, or the specific timing of revenue recognition."
It added, "However, orders in 2025, an initial stage, grew to about three times the previous year, and the chiller business is showing stable growth, with expectations to achieve the 2027 revenue target of 1 trillion won ahead of schedule."
It also said, "Unlike commercial projects, the data center HVAC business requires preliminary steps such as vendor registration, making access limited, but after completing those procedures, full-scale orders and revenue conversion will begin in 2026."
In addition, it said, "From order to delivery, lead time is about six months for standard chillers and about nine months for large custom equipment," adding, "We are also working to shorten lead time through in-house production of core components and standard designs."
