LG Electronics said at its first-quarter 2026 earnings conference call held on the 29th that "LG Electronics sees AI not as a mere technological field but as core infrastructure that supports industry and everyday life."
It added, "We are using AI as the foundation to enhance customer experience across various areas, including home, mobility, and commercial sites, and in line with this trend, we are strengthening strategic collaboration with Nvidia beyond existing cooperation into the physical AI field."
It also said, "At this meeting, we broadly discussed cooperation plans in various areas, including robots, mobility, and data centers," and "We discussed preemptive R&D cooperation plans, such as building joint references to prepare for the future, by combining hardware strategies in each vertical, data secured by LG Electronics, and Nvidia's technological leadership."
It added, "In particular, in the robotics field, we expect both companies to generate synergy through broad collaboration across the entire ecosystem," while noting, "However, it is difficult to disclose specific details of the cooperation."
