Madison Huang, the eldest daughter of Jensen Huang, Nvidia's chief executive officer (CEO) and senior director of Omniverse and Robotics product marketing, advised young people in Korea to "don't be afraid and get on the rocket called artificial intelligence (AI)."
Huang attended the forum "Leadership in the AI era: women's voices" on the 28th at the Haedong Institute of Advanced Engineering at Seoul National University. Huang, who oversees the physical AI field at Nvidia, visited the university during a trip to Korea to discuss cooperation with domestic corporations. Huang said, "Many people fear that AI will take their jobs," adding, "But we must embrace AI and get on the rocket called AI."
Huang said that in the AI era, we must distinguish between a "task" and "the purpose of work." Huang said, "If you are a software engineer, writing code is just one task," adding, "Your real job is to use code to create new products and solve problems." Huang added, "AI is the game-changer of this era," and "You need to learn a lot from AI and know how to use AI as a partner that will think with you when you create something."
When asked about "the role of social sciences in the AI era," Huang answered, "Interaction between humans and robots is also a very important research subject. Talent in these fields is also absolutely necessary."
