Samsung Electronics said on the 28th it will launch a new 32-inch glasses-free three-dimensional (3D) display "Spatial Signage" (model SMHX).
Samsung Spatial Signage applies Samsung's proprietary "3D Plate" technology. It provides a sense of depth as if there were another space inside the screen without dedicated 3D glasses. In addition to the 85-inch model introduced early this year, Samsung Electronics expanded the lineup by unveiling a new 32-inch model to boost the visibility of small product displays.
The existing 85-inch product, with 4K UHD (2160x3840) resolution and a screen about 190 centimeters tall—similar to an actual person's height—delivers an immersive experience like viewing a model's runway at a glance. The new 32-inch product applies FHD (1080x1920) resolution and a 9:16 aspect ratio, enabling 360-degree rotating videos that cover the front, side, and rear of displayed items such as shoes and jewelry.
The new model is slim at 49.4 millimeters thick. It weighs a light 8.5 kilograms compared with conventional hologram box–type 3D displays. With excellent installation convenience, it can be set up in various commercial spaces, including tight areas and on store shelves.
It meets Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) standard mounting specifications, allowing wall-mount or stand installations like general signage. Samsung Electronics plans to continue expanding the "Spatial Signage" lineup in various sizes beyond the 85- and 32-inch models.
Spatial Signage won an Innovation Award in "enterprise technology" and a silver at the Edison Awards at CES 2026. The commercial display–dedicated solution "Samsung VXT" supports various functions, including remote device management, real-time monitoring, and easy content creation and operation.
With the newly added "AI Studio" app, Samsung VXT can produce video content for signage from just a single photo. A new scheduling feature also lets users preset the brightness, volume, and power of connected screens and manage them remotely and automatically at desired times. A "Smart Download" feature has been added as well, which lets screens on the same network share content once only one of the connected screens completes the download during content distribution.
Using the newly updated events feature, preset content can be played automatically according to the weather. For example, air purifier ads can run on days with heavy fine dust, and rain-related promotions can play on rainy days.
Vice President Kim Hyeong-jae of Samsung Electronics' Visual Display Business said, "The 32-inch Spatial Signage is a product that delivers an immersive 3D experience even in spaces where installing large signage was difficult," adding, "We will build an integrated digital signage ecosystem that combines innovative display products and solutions to provide customers with optimal commercial display solutions."
