SK Telink said on the 27th that it will partner with E-MART24 to launch an easy SIM, compatible across SK Telecom network MVNOs, at E-MART24 stores nationwide.
The easy SIM unveiled this time is a shared SIM that is not limited to a specific MVNO brand and can be commonly used by MVNO operators that use the SK Telecom network. Customers can purchase the "easy SIM" at more than 5,500 E-MART24 stores nationwide, then choose a plan from their preferred MVNO operator and activate it immediately.
An SK Telink official said, "By building an environment in which multiple MVNO operators can provide different plans and services based on the same SIM, we have moved away from the previous structure in which each operator had to run separate offline distribution networks and logistics systems, simultaneously improving operational efficiency and market accessibility."
SK Telink will also open a dedicated portal site for the easy SIM. On the portal, users can check related information including an introduction to the easy SIM, participating operators, where to buy, and shipping guidance.
To mark the launch of the easy SIM, MVNO operators on the SK Telecom network plan to run various giveaway promotions—such as MacBook, iPhone, and AirPods—for customers who purchase and activate the SIM through E-MART24 stores through the end of May.
The company said it plans to provide differentiated revenue opportunities for E-MART24 franchise owners and support stable offline sales channels and promotional touchpoints for SK Telecom network MVNO operators, with the aim of revitalizing the overall MVNO market.
