MegazoneCloud said on the 20th that it won the Korea National Railway's "construction management system advancement service" by forming a consortium with HumanPlus, Gonggam IT, and EniaSoft.
The project will migrate Korea National Railway's construction project management system to a cloud-based platform and build a data-centric integrated management framework. The goal is to improve efficiency across all phases of railway infrastructure projects and establish a data-driven decision-making system that can track project status more precisely.
The consortium will carry out core tasks set by the corporation, including implementing a cloud IT environment, advancing integrated construction project management, establishing a project document management system, and adding functions to manage private-investment projects.
MegazoneCloud will oversee cloud architecture design and overall operations, and HumanPlus will handle the advancement of the construction project management system based on its experience building construction ERP and PMIS/PMS. Gonggam IT will build a data management framework that integrates public data linkage, quality management, and GIS-based visualization technologies, and EniaSoft will manage migration of the existing system and integrated advancement.
Observers said the project is meaningful in that it goes beyond a simple system overhaul to consolidate dispersed information from railway construction projects into a single data framework. Reconfiguring the system on a cloud basis is expected to improve future scalability and maintenance efficiency, drawing attention as a digital transformation case for public infrastructure projects. In particular, once private-investment project management functions are newly incorporated, management standards by project are likely to be integrated with greater precision.
MegazoneCloud last year carried out cloud transition consulting for the Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service's integrated health care resources reporting portal and supported computing resources for the Ministry of Science and ICT's Artificial Intelligence Champions competition. This year, it is also expanding its public references by being selected as a supplier for the AI Voucher Support Program and the Industry-Customized Innovation Voucher Support Program. The industry expects that, with this win, MegazoneCloud will accelerate expansion of cloud and AI transition projects in the public sector.
