Soomgo said on the 16th that the "early summer" trend, in which demand for summer lifestyle services moves up earlier, is spreading and related requests are surging.
According to Soomgo, requests for air conditioner cleaning from January to March this year roughly doubled from the same period three years ago, and summer-prep services such as insect screen installation and car tinting also reached 250,000 cases, up 62% from 2023.
This shift is appearing in step with rising temperatures. Since April, with daytime highs nearing 26 degrees Celsius and early-summer weather continuing, demand has been rising quickly even transfer the full-blown heat.
Soomgo's analysis found that requests for summer services, including air conditioner cleaning, surge starting from the point when daytime highs exceed 20 degrees Celsius.
Changes in user behavior also played a role. In a survey of 610 customers who used summer services, 61.6% said, "I have experienced inconvenience because I missed the timing for air conditioner cleaning," citing difficulty matching their desired schedule as the biggest reason.
A Soomgo official said, "As summers lengthen due to climate change, a consumer pattern of preparing in advance from spring is taking hold," adding, "Not only air conditioner cleaning but also demand for various summer-prep services is moving up earlier."
Meanwhile, in line with this shift in demand, Soomgo is holding the "2026 Soomgo summer preparation festa" and running a promotion with discounts and a total event budget of 50 million won.
