Samsung Electronics said on the 16th it will hold the running event "Galaxy Watch Run @Safari" at Everland in Yongin on May 17.
"Galaxy Watch Run @Safari" is an event where participants wear a Galaxy Watch and run Everland's 4.82-kilometer course while trying out various Galaxy Watch features.
Participants can experience a course that runs through Lost Valley and Safari World, where visitors previously met animals by riding in vehicles at Everland.
Registration can be completed on Samsung.com from 10 a.m. on the 17th until 11:59 p.m. on the 20th. A lottery registration will also run during the same period for customers who attend a Samsung Store running class.
At Samsung Gangnam, those who experience the running studio's programs through the 20th and complete a survey can enter a roulette event for a chance to join "Galaxy Watch Run @Safari."
Anyone age 14 or older can apply with one companion, and there is no participation fee. Through a drawing, 1,000 winners will be announced on the 24th.
The event drew 700 participants last year and recorded a competition rate of 65 to 1.
On race day, former national marathoner Coach Kwon Eun-ju will introduce participants to training and condition management using Galaxy Watch and Samsung Health.
Singer Sean, a Samsung Health ambassador, will also run with participants and give a celebratory performance after they finish.
Samsung Electronics will present a commemorative medal and Everland admission ticket to all finishers. Awards will also be given for top performers in the Samsung Health pre-mission and for best dresser.
