HANCOM said on the 16th that it will hold the "national Paldo Co. championship," a nationwide competition in which users participate through the Hancom typing game "Panduijipgi."
The competition will be held in a format where users from each region compete for their hometown pride, and it expands the participant pool to the entire public following last year's "national school championship."
The online preliminaries will run for about five months from April to August. Starting with Gangwon and Jeju, it will continue in a relay format by sequentially applying regional themes including Gyeongsang, Seoul and Gyeonggi, Jeolla, and Chungcheong.
In particular, the game will incorporate regional names, specialties, tourist attractions, and dialects into in-game sentences and keywords to deliver content that highlights each region's unique character. The top user in each region will receive exclusive items and a berth in the offline finals on Hangeul Day in October.
The final will take place on an offline stage during the Hangeul Day holiday, where participants will compete for the title of "typing emperor."
Prizes for participants have also been prepared. Keychron K10 PRO SE keyboards will be awarded to six regional champions, and about 300 outstanding participants will receive gaming keyboards, e-gift cards, and e-book vouchers.
