TikTok said on the 13th that it successfully concluded its creator development program, the "TV and film creator growth program."
On the 11th, TikTok held a completion ceremony for the "TV and film creator growth program" at Lotte World Tower in Songpa District, Seoul. The program was launched to strengthen the content ecosystem, with the goal of discovering and nurturing creators with expertise.
The program brought together participants from diverse backgrounds, from active TV and film creators to emerging creators and students majoring in film and video. Participants consistently produced high-quality TV and film content of at least one minute every month.
During the program period, TikTok shared educational materials and content trends and industry developments, and provided tailored feedback. Through this, it supported each creator in building a unique content style and fan base.
At the ceremony, awards were presented to outstanding creators who demonstrated exceptional content capabilities during the program, along with 1 million won in prize money and a plaque of appreciation for each.
Jae Hoon Jung, head of operations at TikTok Korea, said, "As excellent Korean content is beloved worldwide, we hope creators in the entertainment field will accelerate the spread of the Korean Wave through TikTok, creating a virtuous cycle in which the short-form content ecosystem and the Korean Wave ecosystem promote each other's growth."
TikTok recently released that it would invest more than $50 million this year to help grow Korea's content ecosystem.
