Samsung Electronics said on the 12th that it has been running the air conditioner production line at its Gwangju plant at full capacity since February to prepare for the upcoming summer heat.
Samsung Electronics in February released a new AI WindFree air conditioner that provides an optimal cooling environment based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology. The "AI motion wind" feature applied to the new product precisely controls the direction and strength of the airflow by reflecting the user's location and the layout of the space.
"AI motion wind" consists of two AI-driven airflow modes—"AI direct," which delivers cool air straight to the space where the user is, and "AI indirect," which sends airflow in a direction where the user is not—and four general motion wind modes: circulation, long-distance, WindFree, and Max.
The wall-mounted model adds "up-and-down" airflow, offering a total of seven airflow options.
The new product supports the AI voice assistant "Bixby," allowing easy control through natural conversation. It also provides customized cooling tailored to the user's sleep state with the "wearable Good Sleep" feature linked to the Galaxy Watch.
Samsung Electronics will run a WindFree air conditioner 10th anniversary promotion for the month of April. Benefits such as discounts will be offered to customers who purchase Samsung air conditioners, including the 2026 "Bespoke AI WindFree Combo Gallery Pro," "Bespoke AI WindFree Combo Pro Wall-mounted," "Bespoke AI WindFree Classic," and "window air conditioner."
On the 2026-03-00 "air conditioner pre-inspection" service was proactively carried out to strengthen customer support.
