OpenAI said on the 10th that it added a new ChatGPT Pro plan priced at about $100 a month to meet rising demand for the coding agent "Codex."
The new plan refines subscription options alongside the existing $200 Pro plan and serves as a mid-tier product for developers and heavy Codex users.
The new Pro plan offers up to five times more Codex usage than ChatGPT Plus and provides unlimited access to the Instant and Thinking models. It also includes Pro-only model features.
It is designed in particular to handle complex development tasks—such as writing, editing, debugging, and testing code—more flexibly.
With the addition, the ChatGPT subscription lineup has expanded to ▲ $20 per month Plus ▲ $100 per month Pro ▲ $200 per month Pro. Plus is for general users, the $100 plan is for power users, and the $200 plan is the top-tier option.
OpenAI said Codex's weekly users have surpassed 3 million, growing fivefold over the past three months.
OpenAI Korea country head Kim Kyung-hoon said, "As Codex adoption spreads rapidly, we prepared pricing that reflects a range of usage needs," and added, "We will expand support so developers can work more efficiently."
