Sparrow said on the 9th that it was selected as a supplier for the "2026 small and medium-sized enterprises cloud service distribution and expansion project," and will support strengthening security for small and mid-sized businesses.
Through this project, Sparrow will offer Sparrow Cloud, a software as a service (SaaS)-based application security vulnerability analysis solution. Small and mid-sized businesses selected as demand organizations can receive support for 80% of the usage fee.
The project, led by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), is a program that supports cloud consulting and service usage fees to promote cloud-based digital transformation and strengthen industrial competitiveness.
Sparrow Cloud is a platform that integrates source code analysis (SAST), open-source analysis (SCA), and web vulnerability analysis (DAST), analyzing security vulnerabilities that may arise throughout the software development lifecycle and presenting response measures.
In particular, its AI-based "AI Guide" feature provides guidance on the actual likelihood of vulnerability occurrence, whether findings are true or false positives, and concrete remediation methods, enabling faster response.
It also automatically generates a software bill of materials (SBOM), complies with international standards such as SPDX and CycloneDX, and provides open-source vulnerability and license management functions to enhance supply chain security capabilities.
Through this project, Sparrow Cloud will help small and mid-sized businesses perform application security vulnerability analysis at minimal expense, and corporations wishing to participate can apply through the Cloud Service Support Portal by Apr. 21.
Jang Il-soo, CEO of Sparrow, said, "Embedding security from the design stage and managing based on SBOM is becoming essential," and added, "We will help small and mid-sized businesses proactively prevent threats by leveraging AI-based security analysis features."
