NC said on the 9th that it won the top AAA rating in the 2026 ESG assessment released by Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI), a global ESG (environment, social, governance) rating agency.
NC has maintained a top-tier rating for four consecutive years since receiving AA in 2022 and rose one notch to AAA this year. It received high marks for transparent disclosure of human resources information, efficient management of greenhouse gas emissions, oversight of ethics issues at the senior executive level, and anti-corruption policies.
MSCI assesses key issues related to ESG for listed corporations worldwide and assigns seven rating tiers from AAA to CCC, which are used by global investors as a key indicator to judge corporations' sustainability and risk.
NC also proved its global ESG competitiveness by being the only domestic game company selected as an Industry Leader and a Regional Leader in the "2026 Sustainalytics ESG Risk Rating."
It is continuing its performance in domestic evaluations as well. In the Korea Institute of Corporate Governance and Sustainability (KCGS) assessment, it is the only domestic game company to maintain an overall A rating for five consecutive years.
Koo Hyun-bum, NC chief operating officer (COO), said, "This assessment result is a positive evaluation of our ESG management efforts," adding, "We will continue sincere efforts across sustainability and establish ourselves as corporations trusted by various stakeholders."
