LG Electronics will showcase air-quality management solutions at Air Fair 2026, an international Climate Tech and air industry expo that opened on the 8th.
Air Fair 2026 runs for three days from the 8th at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul. LG Electronics will present next-generation filter technology using metal-organic framework (MOF) materials at this exhibition. MOF is a new material that can strongly adsorb harmful gases and odors through a microporous structure that delivers a very large surface area with a small amount. It has drawn market attention as a key substance behind a Nobel Prize in chemistry and as one of Korea's top 10 technologies.
Unveiled for the first time at this exhibition, the LG PuriCare AI Objet Collection 360° Air Purifier M7 is equipped with two M7 filters using MOF. The total filter surface area in a single unit reaches the size of about 12 soccer fields (84,000㎡). It detects and removes eight types of pollutants, including four kinds of dust (fine dust, ultrafine dust, ultra-ultrafine dust, and fumes generated during cooking), three types of harmful gases (TVOC, formaldehyde, and ammonia), and odors.
LG Electronics is also introducing customized air care solutions for various spaces. The LG PuriCare System Air Purifier, which can be installed on the ceiling, comes standard with a pre-filter, a fine dust filter, and a deodorizing filter. One of the functional filters (new house syndrome, anti-allergy, cooking fumes) can be added. Linked with a ventilation system, it removes particulate pollutants such as fine dust, hair, and cooking fumes and exhausts harmful gases (carbon dioxide, TVOC, formaldehyde) outside.
The LG PuriCare AeroMini and LG PuriCare AI Objet Collection Wall Fit were also on display. AeroMini is a compact air purifier measuring 21 cm at the top, 25 cm at the bottom, and 36 cm in height. With a side width of just 18 cm, Wall Fit can be installed flush against a wall or wall-mounted. Products LG Electronics is unveiling at this event can be connected and used via the LG ThinQ app.
Inside the booth, LG Electronics has created living room, bedroom, and bathroom zones to showcase not only air purifiers, humidifiers, and air conditioners, but also the LG PuriCare Bath Air System bathroom ventilation system. It is also introducing a wide range of HVAC products for commercial spaces, including the energy efficiency grade 1 commercial stand air conditioner LG Supreme Plus.
