The Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) said on the 7th that a product from Saesoltech, a Korean security solutions company for Autonomous Driving and connected cars, received the world's first OmniAir security Official Qualified Test Equipment (OQTE) approval.
TTA said that a domestically developed "next-generation V2X (vehicle-to-everything) security certification system specification test device" was officially recognized as accredited test equipment by the global certification body OmniAir Consortium.
The achievement was carried out as part of the Ministry of Science and ICT's "ICT convergence Autonomous Driving infrastructure build-out" project. TTA supported the entire process from the early product development stage through verification and approval.
According to TTA, the V2X test certification equipment market has been dominated by a small number of overseas global corporations. However, with this achievement, localization of accredited test equipment can accelerate.
TTA also expected that domestic V2X terminal and base station manufacturers will be able to prepare for certification tests quickly and at low cost using accredited equipment built with domestic technology, contributing to strengthening competitiveness across Korea's mobility industry.
