Nota, an artificial intelligence (AI) model lightening and optimization corporations, said on Apr. 7 that its first-quarter orders came to 11.8 billion won, up 111% from a year earlier.
The company said the increase in orders was driven by the AI model optimization platform "NetsPresso" and the vision-language model (VLM)-based video analysis solution "Nota Vision Agent (NVA)."
In the institutional sector, collaboration with global semiconductor corporations expanded around NetsPresso. Nota supplied technology in the first quarter to Samsung Electronics, FuriosaAI, and Arm. NetsPresso is a platform that supports efficient operation of models across diverse hardware environments by reducing AI model size by up to more than 90% to match semiconductor characteristics while maintaining accuracy.
In the solutions institutional sector as well, centered on NVA, it is securing a diverse customer base including global auto parts corporations and shipbuilding, manufacturing, and media. NVA goes beyond merely recognizing specific objects to interpret context and make situational judgments through reasoning based on a vision-language model (VLM). On this basis, it supports everything from real-time situation understanding to summarization and reporting.
Nota Chief Executive Chae Myeong-su said, "As seen in the Google TurboQuant case, demand in the market for inference efficiency and memory optimization is rising, and demand for Nota's AI optimization technology is growing alongside," adding, "We will connect the secured orders to customer outcomes and, based on our accumulated application experience across diverse semiconductor and industrial environments, solidify our technological leadership in the AI optimization market."
