Broadcom has signed a long-term contract to develop and supply Google's next-generation model of the artificial intelligence (AI) semiconductor TPU.
On the 6th (local time), Broadcom said in a filing, "Broadcom has entered into a long-term agreement for the development and supply of Google's next-generation TPU."
Broadcom also signed a "supply assurance agreement" to provide networking and other components for Google's next-generation AI servers through 2031.
Broadcom said it will expand its strategic collaboration with Google and Anthropic, and that Anthropic will use infrastructure needed for 3.5 gigawatts (GW) of AI compute through Broadcom starting in 2027.
Anthropic said in a press release the same day, "We have signed a new agreement with Google and Broadcom for next-generation TPUs, which is expected to go into operation starting in 2027."
