Panasonic Korea said on the 3rd that it has appointed Miyaji Kensuke as its new CEO.
CEO Miyaji Kensuke, who joined Panasonic (then Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.) in 1999, is an expert who has led business strategy and global marketing for the past 27 years at the Japan headquarters and key Asian hubs including Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, China, and Korea.
Since 2024, Miyaji has overseen global market strategy as head of the overseas marketing center at Panasonic Appliances China, and in the same year served concurrently as a non-executive director at Panasonic Korea, deepening his understanding of the Korean market. Since January this year, he has led overall domestic operations as executive vice president of Panasonic Korea, demonstrating his management capabilities.
Panasonic Korea plans to further strengthen its business competitiveness in the Korean market based on CEO Miyaji Kensuke's global network and marketing capabilities. In particular, it plans to expand a premium home appliance lineup centered on customer experience and to scale up business-to-business (B2B) solutions based on digital transformation to advance its business portfolio.
CEO Miyaji Kensuke said, "The global home appliance industry is at an inflection point, and the Korean market is also changing rapidly," adding, "The importance of the Korean market, which leads entertainment culture, the arts, and lifestyle trends, is growing."
He added, "In this environment, we will redefine the significance of Panasonic's business in Korea and further enhance the unique value Panasonic can offer Korean consumers to strengthen market competitiveness," and "We will pursue sustainable growth together with Korean society."
