LG Uplus has revamped its in-house "sharing mileage" program to increase employee participation in social contribution activities. By detailing the accrual standards by activity and improving the convenience of using mileage, the company aims to make it easier for employees to take part in sharing in their daily lives.
LG Uplus said on the 3rd it will overhaul Sharing Mileage, its employee-participation social contribution program. Sharing Mileage grants mileage based on employees' volunteer and donation activities, which can be exchanged for ESG goods or converted into donations. Since its launch in 2017, it has been regarded as a flagship program leading the spread of a sharing culture within the company.
Under the revamp, 5M will be accrued for participating in the regular donation activities "A Thousand-Won Love" and "DoDream U+ Magic Account," 7M for one-off campaigns such as online donation events, and 3M for offline volunteer activities such as rural service, bread making, and plogging.
Accrued mileage can be exchanged for eco-friendly goods such as tumblers, chargers, and ESG Moona keyrings. If donations are chosen, it is converted at 100 won per 1M. LG Uplus said it also improved the donation conversion process so employees can practice sharing immediately rather than stopping at accrual.
Lee Myeong-seop, head of CSR Innovation at LG Uplus, said, "We have laid the groundwork for employees to practice sharing naturally in their daily lives," adding, "We will continue ESG activities that expand positive value for customers and society."
