Nexon said on the 3rd that it has officially opened Maple Island, a permanent theme park using the MapleStory IP, at Lotte World Adventure Magic Island in Jamsil, Seoul, in collaboration with Lotte World.
Maple Island is a story-driven theme park designed to let visitors experience the MapleStory universe in real life, offering various attractions and interactive elements set against major regions such as Henesys, Ludibrium and Arcana.
A total of four attractions, including three new ones, are in operation on site. The Stone Express roller coaster offers a fast-paced exploration through space, while Arcana Ride is a story-driven experience with spirits. EOS Tower is an attraction that goes up and down toward Pink Bean, and the existing Gyro Spin has been revamped to fit the theme.
A variety of merchandise and food and beverage options have also been prepared. Maple Store offers character goods such as keyrings, drink bottles and ball caps, while Maple Sweets sells potion drinks and desserts inspired by in-game items.
Along with the opening of the theme park, Nexon is holding the season festival MapleStory in Lotte World, decorating the entire Lotte World with MapleStory. The event runs through June 14 and offers visitors an immersive experience through programs such as a character experience zone and a parade.
