Upstage said on the 2nd that it officially launched the agentic document-processing AI integrated solution Upstage Studio.
Upstage Studio is a next-generation AI solution that consolidates on a single platform the core document-processing AI technologies Upstage developed in-house, including parsing, document classification, and information extraction.
Kim Sung-hoon, CEO of Upstage, said, "The key to using AI is data, and that data ultimately comes from documents," and added, "Upstage Studio streamlines the entire process of extracting needed information from documents into a single platform, enabling the industry's top-tier document-processing AI to be used immediately across a wide range of industries."
AI agents responsible for each processing stage automatically read, classify, and extract the data needed from complex documents within seconds. It supports up to 1,000 pages per file, allowing large documents to be processed at once. The company said the results go through human review and approval to continuously improve accuracy.
An intuitive interface that anyone can use easily without separate coding knowledge is a key feature. After uploading documents, users can build automated workflows simply by arranging the desired AI agents in order, and they can integrate the system into existing workflows through application programming interface (API) connections or links with external AI services. A unified dashboard allows users to view and manage every stage at a glance, including throughput, accuracy, and error items, and it also supports job history tracking.
In addition, by adding an Instruct node, users can enter prompts into large language models (LLMs) such as Upstage Solar Pro to handle a variety of tasks on the extracted document content, including summarization, analysis, and translation. For example, users can upload a medical institution operations plan and request an analysis of deficiencies based on specific regulatory criteria, or instruct the system to extract only desired items from a commercial invoice.
