Samsung Electronics' gaming monitors were tallied as ranking No. 1 in the global gaming monitor market for the seventh consecutive year.
According to market research firm IDC on the 2nd, Samsung Electronics took first place in the 2025 gaming monitor market with refresh rates of 144 Hz or higher, with an 18.9% share by value. In the OLED monitor market as well, it ranked No. 1 for the third straight year with a 26% share by value.
IDC explained that last year's gaming monitor shipments were tallied at 3.1 million units, up about 15% from the previous year, and OLED monitor shipments at 2.34 million units, roughly doubling.
Samsung Electronics has released products to the market such as the glasses-free 3D "Odyssey 3D," the 6K-resolution "Odyssey G8," the 4K QD-OLED "Odyssey OLED G8," and the 500 Hz refresh rate OLED "Odyssey G6."
