Neptune said on the 2nd that global pre-registrations for "Battle Racer: Zombie Island," a new title from its development subsidiary Encrokey, have surpassed 2 million.
Zombie Island is scheduled for a global official launch on the 11th via the Google Play Store.
The game is a survival battle royale that combines racing and combat elements on an island overrun by zombies. Players drive vehicles at high speed to push back zombies and use various weapons to fight rival vehicles, determining the final survivor.
The game unfolds across varied battlefields—such as a zombie island, circuit track, and construction site—featuring narrow roads, obstacles, and traps. Strategic play is possible with more than 10 types of vehicles and weapons, including sports cars and monster trucks, and an AI-based PvE system delivers tense combat experiences similar to real player-versus-player battles.
Zombie Island reached 1 million pre-registrations two weeks after opening and surpassed 2 million in about four months. Encrokey plans to roll out various promotions in stages, including a friend-invite event.
Encrokey CEO Kim Du-sik said, "We are deeply grateful for the great interest and support from the 2 million users who joined the pre-registration," adding, "We will build a game that users can enjoy for a long time through stable service and continuous content updates."
Meanwhile, Encrokey, a mobile game development subsidiary of Neptune, has been sustaining results in the casual game market with titles such as "Yakorun: Rhythm Mania."
