Xiaomi Korea said it will officially launch the next-generation performance smartphones "POCO X8 Pro" and "POCO X8 Pro Max" in Korea and begin preorders on Apr. 1. Official sales will start on the 7th at Xiaomi's official online and offline stores, Coupang, and other major retail channels.
The new models feature flagship-level performance powered by high-performance chipsets and large-capacity batteries. The higher-end POCO X8 Pro Max supports an 8,500mAh battery and 100W fast charging, and can last up to two days on a single charge, the company said. The POCO X8 Pro is equipped with a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery.
Performance has also been enhanced. The POCO X8 Pro is the first in the world to feature the Dimensity 8500-Ultra, and the POCO X8 Pro Max uses the Dimensity 9500s chipset. Both devices support hardware-based ray tracing, high-resolution gaming features, and a large cooling system.
Prices start at 549,000 won for the POCO X8 Pro and 749,000 won for the POCO X8 Pro Max. During the preorder and first sales period through Apr. 20, buyers will receive a 50,000 won discount and a two-year quality warranty, and preorder customers will also get a "Xiaomi Tag." Coupang plans to hold a live broadcast on Apr. 6 and run a payback and giveaway event.
