Samsung Electronics said on the 1st that it released the AI PC "Galaxy Book6" in Korea. Following the "Galaxy Book6 Ultra" and "Galaxy Book6 Pro" in Jan., the release of the "Galaxy Book6" completes the full "Galaxy Book6 series" lineup.
Equipped with the latest processor for improved performance, the "Galaxy Book6" comes in two sizes, 40.6 cm (16-inch) and 35.6 cm (14-inch). Prices range from 1.6 million won to 2.51 million won depending on specifications such as CPU, graphics card, and memory, and colors are gray and silver. The new product is available at offline stores including Samsung Store nationwide and online malls such as Samsung.com and open markets.
The company said the "Galaxy Book6" supports fast, seamless multitasking and AI workloads with Intel's latest "Intel Core Ultra Processor Series 3 (Intel® Core™ Ultra Processor Series 3)." In particular, a high-performance NPU delivering up to 49 TOPS significantly improves AI processing speed compared with the previous model (Galaxy Book5), enabling more stable "Galaxy AI"-based tasks such as image editing and real-time translation. Battery performance is also enhanced. With efficient power management, it supports up to 24 hours of video playback on a full charge.
The "Galaxy Book6" applies the same refined design emphasizing symmetry and balance as the previously released "Galaxy Book6 Ultra" and "Galaxy Book6 Pro" models. The centrally aligned touchpad, two-tone keyboard, and the logo at the center of the cover create a balanced harmony, while its slim 14.9 mm thickness and light 1.43 kg weight (14-inch) offer outstanding portability. It also supports a variety of ports, including two USB Type-C ports, two USB Type-A ports, HDMI, a microSD card slot, and a wired LAN port.
"Galaxy Book6" users can work efficiently by using "Galaxy AI." It features "AI Cut Out," which easily removes image backgrounds, and "real-time translation," which instantly converts selected text into another language. In addition, users can find files and images stored on the PC or change PC settings using natural language.
Meanwhile, reflecting diverse demand for high-performance flagship models, Samsung Electronics will also introduce a new model with Intel integrated graphics in addition to the existing "Galaxy Book6 Ultra" models equipped with the "NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 5070·5060" discrete graphics card. It will be released as a single configuration with the "Intel Core Ultra Processor Series 7 (Intel® Core™ Ultra Processor Series 7)," 32GB memory, and 1TB storage, priced at 3.69 million won.
Subscribers to the "AI Subscription Club" can extend the basic one-year free warranty for the length of the subscription period, and even damage caused by user negligence is covered, allowing long-term peace of mind when using the PC. The PC subscription plans for the "AI Subscription Club" are available in three terms: 24, 36, and 48 months, and include free repair service and damage compensation benefits. There is no limit to the number of damage compensation claims, and a 25% copay (minimum 30,000 won) applies for repairs. In the first quarter of this year, the number of customers who purchased PCs through the "AI Subscription Club" increased about threefold compared with the fourth quarter of last year. In particular, about 25% of customers who bought PCs at Samsung Store chose the "AI Subscription Club."
Jeong Ho-jin, vice president and head of Korea at Samsung Electronics, said, "The 'Galaxy Book6' maintains flagship-level performance based on outstanding performance and 'Galaxy AI,' while remaining price competitive," adding, "We hope you experience a wide range of AI in everyday life with the 'Galaxy Book6.'"
