Kolon Benit signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Asiana IDT to push forward the "occupational safety and health platform Plan2Do solution supply project," and will expand its artificial intelligence transformation (AX) business in the field of industrial site safety.
The two companies will implement an AX model that integrates artificial intelligence (AI), cloud, and mobile technologies into the occupational safety and health domain and links them organically with safety and health management processes used in actual industrial sites. By combining Kolon Benit's industrial-site consulting capabilities with Asiana IDT's IT service operations capabilities, they plan to jointly pursue customized occupational safety AX projects for clients.
A Kolon Benit official said, "Because it is a subscription-based (SaaS) service that lowers the burden of initial build-out costs and system operation, quick adoption is expected across various industries such as manufacturing, construction, and logistics."
With this agreement as a starting point, the two companies will cooperate comprehensively, from jointly identifying and promoting projects to jointly utilizing service development and business infrastructure. Asiana IDT will be responsible for the continued advancement of the Plan2Do solution, stable cloud operations, and technical sales. Kolon Benit plans to support client acquisition, consulting to establish safety and health management systems, and solution utilization based on its understanding of industrial sites.
Plan2Do, developed in-house by Asiana IDT, is an AI occupational safety and health platform that supports the entire process of industrial site safety management from planning (Plan) and execution (Do) to inspection (Check). By providing a single flow from establishing a safety and health management system to risk assessment, post-inspection improvements, and consulting linkage, it helps move away from document-centered safety management to data-driven, field-execution-centered safety AX.
To enhance real-world applicability, the two companies plan to strengthen the linkage between the list of obligations to secure safety and health and practical activities. In addition, they will pursue integration with a video-based safety control solution that connects CCTV-based risk detection, manager actions, and follow-up reporting, advancing an integrated safety management system.
Jeon Hae-don, an executive director at Asiana IDT, said, "Asiana IDT will work to prevent serious accidents and build a safety culture by advancing AI-based risk assessment and safety inspection functions of the AI occupational safety and health platform Plan2Do," adding, "We will cooperate in building customized safety management systems in coordination with the occupational safety AX business promoted by Kolon Benit."
Song Jae-hyeong, head of the AX Center (director) at Kolon Benit, said, "Based on our consulting capabilities by industry and client touchpoints, we will support corporations in more easily advancing their safety management systems and establishing AX-based systems to prevent serious accidents."
