NHN said on the 30th that it held an in-house program, "AI Sprint-thon," to strengthen the group's employees' ability to use artificial intelligence (AI) and to spread a "work with AI" culture.
The event was an execution-focused competition combining a "sprint" and a "hackathon," and was held over two days from the 25th to the 26th. NHN group employees, regardless of job function or level, participated in teams of three to carry out AI-based projects.
A total of 15 teams advanced to the finals and showcased results in two tracks: new development and work productivity. In the new development institutional sector, a variety of ideas were unveiled, including an AI deduction courtroom drama, a character-raising game, and travel storytelling, while in the work productivity institutional sector, practical projects such as a CS agent, an integrated resource dashboard, and a brand NAMING. tool were presented.
The entire event was shared via a YouTube live broadcast, allowing employees to check the work process and presentations in real time and exchange ideas.
Jung Woo-jin, CEO of NHN, said, "In an era when outcomes vary depending on the ability to use AI, what matters is not the technology itself but the capacity to leverage it," and noted, "We need a process of getting hands-on and accumulating know-how."
He added, "Through this program, let's establish an organizational culture that uses AI naturally and move NHN forward as an 'AI First' corporations."
NHN plans to use this event as a springboard to actively apply AI to actual services and work environments and accelerate change across the organization. It is also continuously expanding AI use through the in-house AI platform "Playground," the training program "AI School," and the AI Technology Council.
