Samsung Electronics said on the 30th it released a new "INFINITE AI wine refrigerator" that uses artificial intelligence (AI) technology to systematically manage everything from checking wine information to storage.
Samsung Electronics said the product adds AI features to the design of the ultra-premium home appliance line INFINITE to maximize user convenience. The factory price of the new product is 6.499 million won.
The biggest feature is the "AI Wine Manager," based on an "AI Vision" camera mounted at the top of the product. When the refrigerator door opens, the camera automatically detects wine bottles going in and out, analyzes labels on stored wines, and records detailed information such as name, variety, and vintage in the SmartThings app.
If the storage location changes or a wine is taken out, the list updates in real time, allowing users to easily check inventory status.
Storage performance has also been enhanced. The interior, which can hold up to 101 bottles, is divided into three zones—upper, middle, and lower—and configured as a "Triple Cooling Zone" where each can be set individually from 3°C to 18°C.
The central "Multi Pantry" can adjust temperature in five modes not only for wine but also for pairing ingredients such as ham, cheese, and fruit. The front door uses triple-glazed glass with UV blocking to block about 92% of external ultraviolet rays and help maintain a constant temperature.
In terms of design, it applies INFINITE line's distinctive "edge frame" and black metal material. A 700-mm-deep kitchen-fit design enables a built-in look, and it features "Auto Open Door," which opens the door by touch or voice. It also applies a low-vibration, low-noise design through a digital inverter compressor.
Moon Jong-seung, vice president of the DA division at Samsung Electronics, said, "This new product newly adopts the AI Vision function to enhance convenience from wine purchase to management," and added, "Based on advanced AI technology, we will continue to lead the premium home appliance market."
