SOOP said on the 30th that it will host the Tekken pro league "2026 STL season 1" starting on the 31st.
"STL (SOOP Tekken League) season 1" is a Tekken esports league run by SOOP and is one of the major tournaments in the first half of 2026. This season as well, Bandai Namco Entertainment Korea is joining as the official sponsor to support league operations.
The tournament runs for about three weeks from Mar. 31 to Apr. 18. Through online qualifiers (Day 1–Day 5), finalists will be selected, and after a "Last Chance Qualifier" for those eliminated, the final entrants will be confirmed. The TOP 8 and the final will then be held offline.
The total prize pool is 24 million won, with 10 million won awarded to the champion.
This season is expected to feature top domestic players such as DRX LoHi, Knee, DNS Ulsan, and Gen.G MulGold. Notably, as the first major league since the Tekken 8 season 3 update, players' strategies and performance in the changed environment are drawing attention.
