Blizzard Entertainment and Nexon said on the 30th that they signed a Korea publishing deal for the PC version of "Overwatch."
Under the deal, Nexon will handle domestic publishing and live service, while Blizzard Entertainment will be responsible for game development and IP operations. The two companies plan to build a service environment optimized for Korean users through their collaboration.
Since its 2016 launch, "Overwatch" has remained a leading FPS game, steadily popular among global users for its distinctive heroes and strategic team play. Recently, it previewed a new update direction, announcing a new hero and long-form story content expansion.
The two companies plan to roll out hyper-localized content tailored to the Korean market and to expand the PC bang ecosystem. They also plan to hire related talent in parallel to strengthen domestic service.
