Megazone Cloud said on the 27th that it officially opened the Korea Quantum Convergence Center (KQNC) at the Megazone Building in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, together with the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI).
KQNC was established as part of the Ministry of Science and ICT national research and development project "Building a quantum computing service and utilization system." The project is led by the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI), with Megazone Cloud participating as a joint research institution.
KQNC plans to pursue the development of industry-specialized quantum algorithms and the discovery of application cases, support for proof of concept (PoC) for corporations, technical support, education and workforce development, and operation of industry-academia-research cooperation networks. A distinguishing feature is that it presents itself as an execution-oriented support infrastructure that expands quantum computing, which had remained research-centered, into actual industrial sites.
Megazone Cloud plans to provide a full-cycle support system from education to technical support and proof of concept by linking with KISTI's quantum computing infrastructure. Through this, it aims to improve user accessibility for corporations and research institutions and to strengthen the foundation for collaboration in industry.
