Netmarble said on the 26th that it held its 15th annual general meeting of shareholders at the G-Tower Convention Hall in Guro-gu, Seoul.
At this shareholders meeting, the company reported its 2025 key management results, including 2.8351 trillion won in sales on a consolidation basis and 352.5 billion won in operating profit, and all eight agenda items were approved as originally proposed, including: ▲ articles of incorporation amendment ▲ appointment of directors and Audit Committee Commissioners ▲ approval of capital reduction for the cancellation of treasury shares ▲ approval of director remuneration limit ▲ amendment to the executive severance pay regulations.
Netmarble deleted the clause excluding the "cumulative voting system" by amending its articles of incorporation in consideration of the Commercial Act revision and the protection of minority shareholders' rights. In addition, as part of the cancellation of already-held treasury shares, the company plans to enhance shareholder value by canceling 25,800 shares acquired during a past merger through a capital reduction.
Chair Bang Jun-hyuk, whose term expired, was reappointed as an inside director, and Yoon Dae-gyun, professor in the Department of Software at Ajou University, Hwang Deuk-su, CEO of CJ ENM STUDIOS, and Lee Dong-heon, professor in the School of Convergence Management at the Sejong Campus of Korea University, were reappointed as outside directors and Audit Committee Commissioners.
Netmarble CEO Kim Byung-gyu said, "2025 was a meaningful year in which competition in the game industry continued to intensify, but our major new titles achieved successive box office success, once again proving the company's competitiveness in game development."
Kim also said, "This year, Netmarble launched two new titles in the first quarter and expanded one title's regional service, and we plan to carry out our business with goals of global markets, diversified genres, and multi-platform," adding, "We will make innovation based on a development system designed around artificial intelligence (AI) our top priority, and combine it with existing systems to improve the efficiency of game development and service."
