Lotte Innovate said on the 26th that it has improved the language model of its artificial intelligence (AI) platform Aimember to accelerate its push into the enterprise (corporate) Generative AI market.
With this upgrade, the language model was advanced to provide deeper explanations and more logical answers to users' questions. The company said it expanded the size of the language model so it can organize context and formulate answers even to complex questions. It increased the parameters from the previous 3.2 billion (32B) to 12 billion (120B).
As a result, it scored 78.31 on CSATQA, which is based on the Korean language section of the College Scholastic Ability Test. It also demonstrated superior performance over major open-source models across four key metrics: HAE_RAE BENCH (78.15 points), which evaluates comprehensive Korean ability; KMMLU-Pro (60.67 points) for professional knowledge reasoning; and HRM8K-MMMLU (92.98 points) for mathematical reasoning. In the Kakao benchmark, it also showed competitiveness surpassing other domestic models.
A Lotte Innovate official said, "With this, we have secured Korean language processing capabilities comparable to global commercial models," adding, "In particular, as an 'open-source-based, on-premises model' that can run on our own infrastructure without relying on external APIs, it meets all the requirements most valued in corporate environments: data security, compliance, and flexibility for customization."
Speed and efficiency were also dramatically improved. Based on a latest model architecture with quantization technology applied, the system was optimized to increase inference speed by about three times in the same graphics processing unit (GPU) resource environment. Through this, it said even with the existing 32B model operating infrastructure, a large 120B-class model can be run stably. Lotte Innovate emphasized that users also experience faster response times, improving real-time usability for work.
English and Japanese were added to the previously Korean-focused platform.
