Samsung Electronics is launching the 2026 Bespoke AI Combo, a new washer-dryer that maximizes drying performance with the newly equipped "booster heat exchanger" and "hybrid heat pump" while advancing its artificial intelligence (AI) features.
At a media briefing for the 2026 Bespoke AI Combo washer-dryer held at Samsung Gangnam in Seocho-gu, Seoul, on the 26th, Im Sung-taek, executive vice president and head of Korea at Samsung Electronics, said, "The 'Bespoke AI Combo' is leading the market with enhanced performance and AI features, and it has especially established itself as the first appliance chosen when purchasing home appliances for newlyweds," adding, "The 'Bespoke AI Combo' recorded about 40% year-over-year growth in sales last year, underscoring the product's excellence."
◇ Shortens wash and dry time by 30 minutes with heat exchanger and heat pump
Samsung Electronics boosted drying performance in this new product by equipping it with a booster heat exchanger and a hybrid heat pump. By adding a "booster heat exchanger" to the main heat exchanger, it increased drying capacity by 2 kg over the previous model. The booster heat exchanger disperses the heat handled by the main heat exchanger to help it operate in optimal condition without performance degradation.
The hybrid heat pump rapidly raises the internal temperature in the early stage of drying to maximize drying efficiency. The new preheat method raises the internal temperature from the spin-dry stage to speed up drying. With this powerful drying performance, both washing and drying can be completed in just 69 minutes on the "quick course," and Samsung Electronics said this is 10 minutes faster than the previous model and 30 minutes faster than the 2024 model.
Sung Jong-hoon, senior vice president of the DA Division at Samsung Electronics, said, "To maximize heat dissipation and dehumidification efficiency, we equipped a booster heat exchanger that aids additional heat release so there is no drop in dehumidification capacity even with large loads," adding, "With a hybrid heater that dries quickly from the spin stage to the target temperature, we also reduced drying time. Energy is used efficiently as well, cutting power consumption by about 35%."
◇ AI analyzes clothes to automatically wash and dry
The washer-dryer's AI performance has also been advanced. Samsung Electronics equipped this new product with "Bixby," whose performance has been enhanced based on a large language model (LLM). Users can not only control the product through conversation but also receive answers to everyday questions and guidance on how to use the product.
It also includes "AI Custom+," which detects the weight, type, and soil level of fabrics to automatically perform optimal washing and drying; the "AI vibration and noise reduction system," which senses the floor and optimizes noise and vibration during high-speed rotation; and "Auto Open Door+," which automatically opens the door when washing and drying are complete to vent internal humidity and keep the interior fresh without odor.
The new product comes in five colors: Dark Steel, Silver Steel, Greige, White, and Black Caviar. Depending on specifications, the price ranges from 3.199 million won to 4.299 million won, similar to products released last year.
Samsung Electronics is running a promotion to lower appliance purchase expense for newlyweds buying AI appliances and provide tangible benefits. Through the "AI Subscription Club," Samsung Electronics plans to offer a tailored installation service for newlyweds subscribing to wedding appliances and provide up to 800,000 Samsung Electronics membership points depending on the purchase amount to customers who sign up for the "Wedding Club" membership.
