Nota, an artificial intelligence (AI) model lightweighting and optimization technology corporations, said on the 25th that it signed a strategic partnership with global Edge AI Semiconductor corporations SiMa.ai to expand the physical AI market.
The two companies will work closely to jointly develop and commercialize On-device AI solutions, expand their technology partnership, and jointly carry out customer discovery and pilot projects.
Nota will use its AI model lightweighting and optimization platform, "NetsPresso," to help AI models run more efficiently on SiMa.ai's high-efficiency NPU (MLSoC). NetsPresso is a platform that can efficiently compress, optimize, and deploy models across diverse hardware environments, reducing model size by up to more than 90% while maintaining accuracy. Through this, the inference performance of SiMa.ai NPUs will be maximized, and the company plans to build an optimal edge environment that can perform high-performance tasks even in low-power settings.
In addition, Nota's Generative AI-based video monitoring solution, "NVA (Nota Vision Agent)," will be optimized for SiMa.ai hardware and applied across various industrial sites, including Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), safety, and security. Based on this, the companies will also push business collaboration into physical AI markets such as robotics and mobility.
SiMa.ai will provide the core hardware and software capabilities for this partnership, based on its software-centric platform specialized for physical AI.
Chief Executive Chae Myeong-su of Nota said, "It is significant that Nota's AI optimization technology, together with SiMa.ai's hardware, can accelerate expansion into physical AI," and added, "Through this collaboration, we look forward to building On-device AI solutions that can be practically used in industrial sites."
