Samsung Electronics said on the 25th that the security solutions applied to its 2026 smart TVs and smart monitors have obtained Common Criteria (CC) certification.
CC certification is an international standard that evaluates the security of products requiring information protection and is mutually recognized by 36 countries worldwide. Samsung Electronics' smart monitor CC certification is the first in the industry.
Since 2015, smart TVs have applied the in-house security solution "Samsung Knox," receiving CC certification for the 12th year this year.
This certification underwent rigorous verification of core security capabilities, including "SIM," which monitors the integrity of the kernel area in real time, and "WBS," which blocks access to phishing sites when using a web browser.
Samsung Knox provides a robust security environment through a multi-layered security architecture, including ▲ "TrustZone," a hardware-based independent security area ▲ "Knox Vault," which separately protects sensitive information in a security chip ▲ "Knox Matrix," which centrally manages security status across devices.
