Samsung Electronics said on the 25th that it won eight excellence awards at "MCE 2026," Europe's largest heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) exhibition, being held in Milan, Italy, through the 27th local time.
It swept excellence awards across a wide lineup, from residential WindFree air conditioners to high-efficiency heat pumps and commercial system air conditioners.
The 2026 "AI WindFree Combo Pro Wall-mounted" residential air conditioner won two excellence awards. Equipped with an "AI/Motion Air" feature, the product uses a motion radar sensor to detect the user's location and activity level and provide the optimal airflow—such as direct or indirect air—to the customer.
In the "EHS" lineup of heat pump heating and cooling systems, which are drawing attention as a technology to replace fossil-fuel boilers, "EHS All-in-One" and "EHS Cascade Controller" received awards.
EHS All-in-One more than doubled energy efficiency through a heat recovery function and adopted the R32 refrigerant, whose global warming potential (GWP) is about 68% lower than R410A. The EHS Cascade Controller, an integrated control solution, maximizes energy efficiency by operating only the number of units needed based on real-time load even in environments where up to eight heat pumps run simultaneously.
In addition, two products won excellence awards from the lineup: the "DVM Hydro Unit" and "Climate Hub," both residential EHS indoor units, and the high-efficiency "DVM" system air conditioner for large commercial spaces.
Im Sung-taek, vice president of the Air Solution Business Team in the DA Division at Samsung Electronics, said, "This award confirms that Samsung Electronics' HVAC technology is at a global top level in every aspect, including innovation, energy efficiency and sustainability," adding, "We will continue to introduce differentiated HVAC solutions going forward."
