Snowflake Korea will host "Snowflake Hackathon 2026," where participants turn ideas into reality using real-world data on its AI Data Cloud platform. Following last year's inaugural event that drew strong interest from participants, this second hackathon features a strengthened program and structure.
This year's event is expanded from the previous year and will be run in two parts: a "tech track" and a "business track." The tech track focuses on building applications using real data, while the business track centers on developing data-driven business ideas and solutions. As a result, not only developers, data scientists, and engineers but also members of the public with ideas that use data and AI can take part.
Participants will design data applications based on the Snowflake platform. They can use datasets provided by AJUNG Networks, SPH, Richgo (Datanows), and NEXTRADE (NXT), as well as a range of third-party data from Snowflake Marketplace, and they are free to use the necessary libraries and open-source tools.
Before the event, there will be three meetups and webinars in total. In the webinar on Apr. 1, last year's winning team and judges will introduce strategies for reaching the finals. The six finalist teams will present at the finals on Apr. 29, with applications due by Apr. 5 and project submissions due by Apr. 12.
