CJ OliveNetworks said on the 24th that it has completed building SHINSUNG TONGSANG's next-generation point-of-sale (POS) and kiosk systems and will support operations at about 1,300 stores nationwide.
SHINSUNG TONGSANG runs brands including Topten, ZIOZIA, and Olzen, and has been pushing to build next-generation POS across all stores.
CJ OliveNetworks integrated the previously dispersed POS systems on a cloud basis and improved processing speed and stability by switching from a web (WEB) approach to a client-server (CS) model. It integrated POS with the sales management system to strengthen performance and scalability and secured connectivity between systems.
It also enhanced operational stability by enabling payments using Wi-Fi and tethering even during network failures.
The user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) were also improved. When a product is scanned, promotions are applied automatically, and various payment methods can be checked on a single screen.
The kiosk applies barrier-free features such as screen magnification and voice guidance to improve accessibility.
With this build, SHINSUNG TONGSANG will centrally manage store data on a cloud basis and establish a data-driven decision-making framework.
An official at SHINSUNG TONGSANG said, "We will improve store operation efficiency based on integrated data and a stable system."
Lee Sang-young of CJ OliveNetworks said, "We will support our clients' transitions based on our IT service capabilities specialized for the retail industry."
