SOOP unveiled a new character intellectual property (IP), "Superstars," on the 24th.
"Superstars" is a story-driven character IP based on the expanded universe of the SOOP platform. It reorganized the existing "Stars" characters and added new ones, for a total of seven. SOOP said, "Through this character IP, we will organically consolidation content and services within the platform and further strengthen interactions between streamers and users."
"Superstars" was planned to reflect a variety of content within SOOP. In addition to the existing characters "Baek Hogu," "Cider," and "Kkuljaem," the squirrel "Gogo," symbolizing virtual content, the plant character "Deoldeol-i," based on music content, and the dog "Narak-i," themed on visible radio, have newly joined. Adding the character "Youngja," who leads the central narrative of the universe, completes the story structure.
The new characters will also be rolled out sequentially across services on the platform. Starting today, default chat emojis and subscription emojis will switch to the new character style. They will also be applied to gifts and participation elements such as star balloons, gifting, and ad balloons.
An official channel based on the "Superstars" universe will also open. Through the channel, users can check character introductions and story content, and various character-based content and participatory programs will be expanded sequentially going forward.
