Pearl Abyss' new open-world action-adventure game "Crimson Desert" is showing steep momentum at the box office from its early days. Just four days after launch, it surpassed 3 million units sold worldwide, signaling a strong presence in the market.
Pearl Abyss said on the 24th that cumulative global sales of "Crimson Desert" reached 3 million units.
On the 20th, "Crimson Desert" was officially released simultaneously across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam, Apple Mac, Epic Games, Inc. Store). The title is a major new release that Pearl Abyss developed over seven years, building anticipation even before its launch.
"Crimson Desert" sold 2 million units worldwide just one day after release, becoming the Korean-made packaged game that sold the most in the shortest time on record. Keeping up its momentum, it crossed the 3 million mark in four days.
