Kolon Benit said on the 23rd that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Laon People for joint commercialization of a manufacturing artificial intelligence (AI) agent.
The collaboration will be promoted based on the "Hi FENN for Cloudera" model, which links Laon People's manufacturing AI agent "Hi FENN" and Cloudera's enterprise AI platform "Cloudera AI."
The two companies plan to provide AI services applicable to manufacturing sites in a hybrid data environment spanning on-premises and Multi-Cloud, and to expand AI use cases for manufacturing corporations.
Kolon Benit plans to combine AI agent technology with a system that supports the entire process from data collection to analysis and utilization, based on its experience in building manufacturing platforms and data/AI projects, to expand the scope of data utilization.
"Hi FENN" is an AI agent platform that provides analysis and answers based on internal documents and databases of corporations, and it supports production yield analysis, defect cause identification, and verification and optimization of manufacturing conditions on the shop floor.
It also analyzes manufacturing data and supports decision-making through retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)-based functions and step-by-step reasoning.
Lee Seok-jung of Laon People said, "Hi FENN is an AI agent platform that supports analysis and decision-making based on manufacturing data," adding, "By combining it with Kolon Benit's capabilities in building data platforms, we will provide an environment in which corporations can utilize data and AI more effectively."
