Korea Artificial Intelligence and Software Industry Association (KOSA) said on the 23rd that it will hold the "2026 software (SW), information and communications technology (ICT) equipment, and information security demand forecast briefing" at POSCO Tower Yeoksam in Seoul on the 31st of this month.
The "SW, ICT equipment, and information security demand forecast" is a system in which the Ministry of Science and ICT conducts an advance survey and disclosure of the next year's budgets and project plans for SW, ICT equipment, and information security in the public institutional sector (central administrative agencies, local governments, public institutions, educational institutions, and others). Under the Software Promotion Act and related guidelines, a provisional demand forecast for the following year is released in Nov., and a finalized demand forecast for the current year is released in Mar.
The targets are informatization projects promoted by about 2,500 institutions, including national agencies, local governments, public institutions, and educational institutions, and the dedicated agencies are the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), Institute of Information & communications Technology Planning & Evaluation (IITP), and Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA). KOSA is responsible for conducting the demand forecast survey and providing the results.
KOSA said the briefing will allow attendees to confirm in advance the projects to be ordered in the public institutional sector and each institution's investment direction, which is expected to provide practical help for corporations in establishing their business strategies.
