Pearl Abyss' new title "Crimson Desert" sold more than 2 million copies worldwide on the first day of its release.
Pearl Abyss said on the night of the 20th through the official Crimson Desert X account, "We are truly moved to share that we have surpassed 2 million copies sold worldwide."
Pearl Abyss added in the post, "We sincerely thank everyone who has been with us," and "We will continue to listen closely to a wide range of feedback, swiftly reflect improvements, and do our best to deliver an even more enjoyable journey."
Crimson Desert is an open-world action-adventure game that follows protagonist Cliff and the Graymane companions on their journey. Players will adventure across the seamless open world of the continent of Pywel with Cliff to reclaim his lost hometown and gather his scattered companions.
Immediately after its release on the 20th, the game drew global user interest and reached No. 1 on Steam, the global game distribution platform, in the "Most Popular Games" rankings worldwide and in the United States.
